I'm Michele Fortunato, professional musician with classic roots and a versatile spirit. Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Japan, Russia, Chile, Jordan, Europe... the trombone passion, together with the desire of making music, leave me breathless, and enable me to explore and touch first hand different cultures and traditions. Being a freelance musician allows me to explore various musical genres: Ska, Reggae, Jazz, Rock, Classic, Contemporary... playing on famous stages and festivals. I've the opportunity to collaborate, both live and in the studio, with famous national and international artists.

The Popular Music has always been the foundation of my musical career. I've been on stage with lots of artists and great bands such as Banda Bassotti (since 2013), RFC (since 2019), Radici nel Cemento (since 2015), Comemammam'hafatto (since 2017), Breda Anancy (since 2014), Queen at the Opera (2016-2018), Steady Rockerz All Stars (from 2016), Veeblefetzer (2016-2017), Skardellas (from 2008), Antistamina (2010-2011)... at international festivals and events, sharing the stage with 99 Posse, Roy Paci, Fermin Muguruza, Ska-P...
ORCHESTRAS
Playing in an orchestra is to be aware of being a nature force. Attention, concentration and musical beauty come out at their maximum level and, as a trombone player, everything is about few notes, sometimes even one; the air itself becomes music. From La Traviata, with Ferzan Ozpetek and the Orchestra del Teatro di San Carlo, to Gianni Morandi Live in Arena with the Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori Italiani, from Dead Sea to Palazzo del Quirinale, through the best Theaters of Europe, under the direction of great Masters such as E. Morricone, G. Carella, A. Fogliani, L. De Amicis... The orchestra is at the bottom of my training as a musician and a trombone player.
JAZZ
Swing, impro, large and small orchestras; the Jazz is a journey that I've started times ago. Selected from the best young italian musicians to play with the Orchestra Nazionale Jazz Giovani Talenti directed by Paolo Damiani, my experience was mainly formed on the field, or rather on stage, stealing with the eyes and listening to amazing artists such as Vince Mendoza, Kurt Elling, Richard De Rosa, Javier Girotto, Paolo Damiani, Danilo Rea, Mario and Claudio Corvini, Enrico Pieranunzi,

I have a Master Degree in Trombone (Classical and Contemporary Music) and I'm specialized in Performing Arts (I Level Master) and Big Band Jazz Music (I Level Master). I've been working in the music industry for more than 15 years recording with outstanding international artists and live playing in Music Festivals (Rock, Pop, Ska, Dub, Reggae, Punk-Rock...) all around the World.
